  We are never really ready to let special people go-and Craig was all of that for sure. He was such a quiet and patient person, and a great mentor to "newbies" on the board. I was grateful for the guidance. He had a very unique talent for reasoning things out and seeing down the road; for contemplating future needs and goals. He could also say the tough and unpleasant things that needed said-but in such a gentle manly way, it helped take the sting away! Now I wish I had taken better notes! It has been a pleasure to get to know him better and to work with him in that capacity. He truly had the Philip schools and its staff and students at heart. His passing will be a loss for all of us.

• I have thought about what I should write or add to this register that has not been said or added,I had been in touch with Craig mostly after my father passed late last year and I truly looked forward to Craig's e-mails and I was amazed that he never complained about his condition other than how it upset him to watch his family out doing the work he could no longer do.
