My dearest Grandma, I love you more than you probably even knew and will miss you more than I can imagine right now. Besides my own mom you were the most important lady in my life. I do know you are in a much better place now than you have been in the last several years so I will take comfort in that and I will always remember your stories you told from everything to your own childhood to the stories about your kids to stories about your adventures big or small, you always made me laugh. RIP Grandma and tell my dad hi for me and give Kyan a kiss for me and I will see you when the lord calls me home.

There are so many memories of Marie that we all share, but my favorite is of her convincing my parents that she needed me to play a dance with her in Cottonwood...I think I was about 13...and that she and Bud would take care of me! The Philip Five dance band was just a fun experience...thanks to Marie. You have all the memories that it will take to keep her alive in your hearts....that piano and accordian are playin' away with the angels.

We rented pasture land from your parents a number of years ago. They were great people. Our sons enjoyed going out there as your mother always paid attention to them. She gave them 2 kittens one summer and were quite excited about that. Your mother will be missed by all who knew her. She was special. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I remember going to the Hansen house when I was in the 4th grade. Shirley was my teacher and invited me to spent the weekend with her at her parents house. She had a sister, Chuckie, that was my age, and so I met Chuckie. We had the best potato soup I had ever eaten. Also, remembering the dances that Marie played for and her standing in those high heel shoes all night! Marie touched many lives! Memories are forever, and the music goes on.

My sympathy goes out to a beautiful woman's family. She lived a beautiful long life and I'm sure was ready to go home with the lord. She's in a better place now.
She was so nice to me and didn't even know me when I moved to town and she always helped me to play cards. I remember her at her garage sales, and the dances, just anywhere with her presents was nice.
She will be missed by everyone who passed through her life.

Marie was always part of our family, she and Bud were so special. When she would come to Whitewood to visit the music and laughter began. My Dad always wanted one of us kids to learn to play the piano like Marie did, I can still see her just bouncing on that piano bench and the whole piano seemed to come alive! Good times!! Visiting in the nursing home she always knew me and greeted me with a smile. God has gained a very special angel!
