Don E. Eisenbraun was born November 18, 1949 in Rapid City, SD, the son of George H. and Iona A. (Denke) Eisenbraun. He was baptized at home in December of 1949. He attended North Creighton School and graduated from Wall, High School in 1967. During that time he was confirmed in 1963, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Creighton. He then attended SDSU for two years before returning to the family farm/ranch. He was also a mechanic in the National Guards for six years.

In November 1976 he married Marcia Schneider in Creighton, SD. To this union three children were born; Wendy, Jorin, Becky.

In August 15, 1989 he married Susan Rushin Willuweit at First Lutheran Church in Wall, South Dakota. Joining this union were two children, Jami and Will.

He continued to farm and ranch in Creighton until the time of his death.

He enjoyed working, raising Gelbvieh cattle, and spending time with his family and friends. But his favorite pastime was attending bull sales with Sue.

Don was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Creighton, where he was currently the secretary, and held other offices over the years. He was also treasurer for the Rainy Creek/Cheyenne Township, and on the Board of Directors for the South Dakota Gelbvieh Association

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Susan Eisenbraun of Creighton; two sons, Jorin Eisenbraun of Custer and Will Willuweit of Creighton; three daughters, Wendy Eisenbraun of Creighton, Jami Willuweit of Creighton, and Becky Eisenbraun of Custer; a brother, Larry Eisenbraun of Wall; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, George and Iona Eisenbraun, and a sister in-law, Mary Eisenbraun.

Funeral services for Don E. Eisenbraun, age 51, of Creighton, were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Creighton, with Pastor Ray Greenseth officiating.

Visitation was held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2001 at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall.

Interment will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Creighton.

A memorial has been established.
