  • Mary Lee Nedved joined our Jesus Cares Ministry (JCM) Bible Class at S.Cloud's Apt. in January 2000. Mary loved Bible Class. She loved to sing and would follow sign language motions. Even when in pain Mary would have a smile as we'd sing about Jesus. Her last words after a class were "I will see you in Bible Class next Wed." By faith in her Savior through hearing God's Word Mary's faith grew. We trust Mary is in heaven with Jesus. All her "special friends" at St. Cloud are happy for her and we all look forward to seeing her again.

  • God knew what he was doing when he placed Mary Nedved in her mother's womb. Just as God has a plan for each of us, he had a plan for Mary. I believe that Mary came as one of the least brothers (Sisters) of Jesus that he referred to in the Bible Matthew 25:40.
Two years ago I chose Black Hills Workshop in my retirement years to earn a little extra money...as a servant and instructor. In my worldly perspective I expected that Mary and other residents would be on the receiving end of my well intentioned care and teaching. Low and behold as relationships developed I discovered Mary and the other residents were the real givers and teachers. In my brief relationship with Mary I was able to touch and see and hear Jesus in the most intimate human of encounters. Jesus (Mary Lee) is the teacher. She taught me how God wants me to be.
Mary's mission on earth is finished. Just as Jesus' life was painful, her life and her death were difficult, and now God has called her home to her reward.

  • What an awesome picture of Mary. She had to have loved it. I first met Mary in my church as a little girl. I am proud to say that I worked with "Nedved" for a decade at Black Hills Workshop. She was a pleasure, I could always count on her to smile...even when it was a bad day. Mary knew my mom and dad. In fact, her dad worked for my grandfather. Mary was always happy to see them. We had that bond because I knew her dad as well. I will miss seeing her when I visit the workshop. Mary will be happy to be reunited with her father. God Bless you Mary. ~ Stacy Dole Black Hawk, SD (9/3/2006)
  • My Ned, I was so sad today when I heard the news. I will so miss you visiting me in the morning and showing me your fantastic outfits and purses. Who will I save magazines for? You are missed by many. Goodbye Mary - know that you made the sun shine on many of my mornings. I pray that you are in a wonderful place. ~ Stacy Morman BHW Industries, RC, SD (9/3/2006)
