Cora Lee Sieler was born October 22, 1940, in New Underwood, South Dakota, the daughter of Henry H. and Cora Lily (McClure) Sieler.  She grew up on a ranch in the Grindstone community.  She received her elementary education in a rural school in that area and attended three years at Philip High School before graduating from Wall High School in 1958.

She was baptized on May 3, 1943, and was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church of Philip on October 28, 1956.

As a young lady, she worked for various businesses in the Wall area.

Cora Lee was united in marriage to Norman "Shorty" Schuler on June 2, 1962, at Rapid City.  They made their home in Wall all their married life.

After her sons completed high school, she became employed at the Badlands National Park where she worked for 17 years before retiring in 1998.  After their retirement, they both enjoyed travelling and going to antique auctions.

Cora Lee was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Wall.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Norman "Shorty" Schuler of Wall; two sons, Norman "Champ" Schuler of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Rowdy Lee Schuler of Philip; a grandson, Tyler John Schuler of Lincoln, Nebraska; a brother, Herbert Sieler of Grindstone, South Dakota; a sister, Sandra Blake of Williston, North Dakota; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cora Lee was preceded in death by a son in infancy and her parents.

A memorial is established.
