In memory of

Florence Neville

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Thursday, July 8, 1999 at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 86

Florence D. Eymer was born January 25, 1913, on a farm near Springfield, South Dakota, the daughter of Timothy and Jessie (Dempster) Eymer.  At the age of five, she moved with her parents and family to a homestead northwest of Milesville.

She grew up in that community and attended rural school there prior to attending Tyndall High School.

Forence was united in marriage to Clinton Neville on August 31, 1928, at Kadoka, South Dakota.

They made their home on the Neville homestead, southwest of Milesville, which they operated until 1983 when they retired and moved into Philip, where they continued to make their home.

Her husband, Clinton, preceded her in death on June 18, 1995.

Florence was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Philip and a former member of First Lutheran Church of Milesville, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.  She was also a member of the Bad River Senior Citizens of Philip.

Grateful for having shared her life are her two sons, Jerald Neville and his wife, Joy, of Philip, and Robert Neville and his wife, Arlyce, of Milesville; two daughters, Grace Mack and her husband, Jim, of Rapid City, and Lila Ames and her husband, Carroll, of Green Bay, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Clinton, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marilyn Neville; her parents; a brother, Robert Eymer; and three sisters, Frances Wilhelm, Jean Fleming, and Ruth Elshere.

A memorial has been established.
