of Philip, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, October 26, 1994 at the Rapid City Care Center in Rapid City at the age of 70
Kenneth Curtis was born March 11, 1924, at Elbon, South Dakota, to Edgar T. and Blanche (Waldron) Curtis.
He grew up on his parents' ranch in the Milesville area and attended the Hardingrove Country School near the ranch, prior to attending Philip High School.
As a young man he worked with his parents on the ranch and later took over the operation of the ranch. He continued to operate the ranch until April 1994 when he moved into Philip because of health reasons. He later moved into the Rapid City Care Center.
Kenneth attended the Hardingrove Community Evangelical Free Church of Milesville and was a member of the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association.
Grateful for having shared his life are his sister and her husband, Dorothy and Arthur Thompson of Rapid City; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Melvin, Harold and Melford; two sisters, Elaine Curtis and Charlotte Votroubek.
A memorial is established.
