Geraldine Ruth Eisenbraun was born December 17, 1939, at New Underwood, South Dakota, to Gotthold and Emma (Schuler) Eisenbraun.

She grew up on a farm-ranch in the Creighton, South Dakota, community.  She graduted from Wall High School in 1957 and then attended Black Hills State College in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Geraldine was united in marriage to Robert L. Knutson on August 27, 1960, at Creighton.  They have made their home in Wall all their married life.  Geraldine worked for various businesses in Wall.

Her most enjoyable times were when her grandson, Turee Dean Benson was present with her.  She and Bob enjoyed dancing and being members of the Dakota Territory Dance Club of Rapid City, South Dakota.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church where she was church organist, a member of the church choir, was a music teacher for the Week Day School, and a member of Mary Martha.  She was a former member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Creighton where she was church organist and substitute Sunday School teacher.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Robert L. "Bob" Knutson of Wall; her daughter, Sherri (Mrs. Travis) Benson of Gordon, Nebraska; one grandson, Turee Dean Benson of Gordon, Nebraska; her parents, Gotthold and Emma Eisenbraun of Wall; one brother, Curtis Eisenbraun and his wife, Aileen, and their daughters, Luciene Holen and Gloria Skretta, all of Rapid City; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
