Edna P. Hockenbary was born January 25, 1913, at Cambridge, Nebraska, to Elmer and Emma (Spath) Hockenbary.
She grew up in the Wanblee area where she graduated from Wanblee High School. As a young lady she worked in a cafe in Kadoka.
Edna was united in marriage to Charlie Mullin on March 31, 1934, and to this marriage were born three children: Thomas, Dick, and Karen.
They owned and operated a ranch south of Interior until World War II, when they moved into Wanblee where they resided until moving into Kadoka in 1946. While in Kadoka they owned and operated the Corner Grocery and the State Theatre until 1966 when they retired and moved to Rapid City.
Her husband, Charlie, preceded her in death in December 1972. She then continued to reside in Rapid City.
Edna was united in marriage to Orin Arment on September 14, 1977, in Rapid City. They made their home in Rapid City until moving into the Kadoka Nursing Home on June 1, 1990.
Her husband preceded her in death in April 1991 and she has continued to reside at the nursing home.
Edna was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Kadoka.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Charles R. "Dick" Mullin and his wife, Billie, of Montclair, California; a daughter, Karen (Mrs. Donivian) King of San Bernadino, California; two step-sons, John Arment of Seattle, Washington, and Joe Arment of Prinville, Oregon; a step-daughter, Zella (Mrs. Willard) Street of Roseburg, Oregon; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Hockenbary of Philip and Elmer "Bud" Hockenbary of Rapid City; six sisters, Grace Kursave of Black Hawk; Dorothy Porch of Wanblee; Helen (Mrs. Howard) Byrne of Martin; Florence Mattley of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Margaret Hoopes of Warner Robbins, Georgia; and Kathleen Frerichs of Janesville, Wisconsin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her first husband, Charles Mullin, and her second husband, Orlin Arment, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Mullin; her parents; and one sister, Ruth Porch.
