Nora J. Flisram was born December 26, 1895, in the Bonesteel, South Dakota, area to John and Ida (Qualm) Flisram.  She grew up in the Bonesteel, Wheeler, and Whetstone areas and received her education there.

She was united in marriage to John Bonenberger on July 17, 1917, at Bonesteel.

They operated a ranch near Bonesteel until moving into Bonesteel where they operated a Ford auto and implement dealership.  In 1928 they moved to a ranch near Mission, South Dakota, which they operated until 1934 when they moved to Gordon, Nebraska.  While in Gordon they opearted the Gordon Livestock Auction until 1936 when they moved to Belvidere where they owned and operated the Belvidere Cafe until 1942 when they purchased and operated a ranch five miles north and west of Belvidere.  In 1960 they retired from ranching and moved to Marmarth, North Dakota, where they resided until moving back to Belvidere in 1970.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1979.

She continued to live in Belvidere until moving into the Gateway Apartments in Kadoka in 1981.  Because of failing health she moved into the Philip Nursing Home in March of 1991.

She was a member of the Belvidere Presbyterian Church.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son, John Jr. and his wife, Delores Bonenberger, of Belvidere; her daughter, Rosamae and her husband, Edgar Kimball, of Rapid City, South Dakota; 4 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther McKenzie of Kingsley, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Corrine Morford; two grandsons, John Clark and Kurt Bonenberger.
