Marguerite Anne Manley, better known as "Grandma B." to her family and friends, was born July 26, 1906, at Hawkeye, Iowa, to Joseph and Margaret (O'Meara) Manley.

On her first birthday she moved with her parents to the Draper, South Dakota, area.  She grew up there and attended grade school in the Draper area prior to attending Draper High School.

She was united in marraige to Jake J. Bierle on July 3, 1927, at Murdo, South Dakota.

They lived in the Murdo area until moving to the Capa, South Dakota, area in the late 1940's.  In the early 1950's they moved into Midland where they continued to make their home.

Her husband, Jake, preceded her in death on December 18, 1973.

Marguerite was a member of St. William's Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Senior Citizens, all of Midland.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son and his wife, James and Janice Bierle of Midland; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Terrell of Herndon, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Jake J. Bierle, she was preceded in death by four sons, Robert Ronald Bierle, Raymond Bierle, Allan G. "Buck" Bierle, and John J. Bierle, as an infant; and one daughter, Mary Robertson.
