Roy T. Shull was born November 5, 1905, at Beresford, South Dakota, to Edward and Winafred (Smelkler) Shull.

At the age of five, he moved with his parents to a ranch located southwest of Wall.  He grew up and attended school in that area.

He was united in marriage to Irene (Dean) Saines on August 19, 1928, near Quinn, South Dakota.  They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1988.

They owned and operated a ranch in the Wall area.  Later they moved into Wall but continued to operate the ranch near Wall until health reasons forced them into the Rapid City Care Center several years ago.

Roy T. was a member of the Methodist Church in Wall and was a long time member of the Western South Dakota Buckaroos.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Irene (Dean) Shull of Rapid City; a daughter, Mary Dean Percy of Wall; three grandchildren, John McGriff of Wall, Diana Norman of Rapid City, and Sonja Wernke of Tucson, Arizona; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Roy T. was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two brothers, and two sisters.
