of Wall, South Dakota, died on Saturday, July 16, 1988 at the Rapid City Care Center in Rapid City at the age of 60
Gladys Elaine Albin, daughter of Lee and Ruth (Kitterman) Albin, was born January 20, 1928, on a farm northwest of Wall, South Dakota.
She grew up in that area and received her education at the Cedar Butte rural school.
Gladys was united in marriage to Lerrill Hinman on June 18, 1951, at Rapid City, South Dakota, and to this union was born one son, Rodney.
She was baptized in the Methodist Church in 1967.
They farmed northwest of Wall for four years prior to moving into Wall in 1955. She was employed at the Wall Motel until they moved to Wasta where she worked at the Redwood Motel. In 1982 they returned to Wall and she worked part-time as a clerk for the Homestead Motel.
Because of failing health, Lou Gehrig's disease, she entered the Rapid City Care Center on January 21, 1987, where she resided until the time of her death.
Gladys attended the United Methodist Church in Wall.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Lerrill Hinman of Wall; her son, Rodney and his wife, Cheryl, of Rapid City; two grandsons, Benjamin and Joseph Hinman of Rapid City; her mother, Ruth Albin of Wall; one brother, Robert Albin of Wall; two sisters, Iva Eisenbraun of Creighton, and Beulah Jones of Wall; five sisters-in-law, Arlene Albin of Wall, Ruth Renner of Deadwood, Joyce Hinman of Rapid City, Edith Strandell of Deerbrook, Wisconsin, and Thresa Hinman of Chadron, Nebraska; three brothers-in-law, Robert Hinman of Chadron, Nebraska, Reinhold Eisenbraun of Creighton, South Dakota, and Edwin Strandell of Deerbrook, Wisconsin; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and frineds.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Albin; one brother, Dale Albin; her father and mother-in-law, Winnie and Emily Hinman; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Renner and Clayton Hinman.
Gladys will not only be greatly missed by her family, but also by everyone who knew her.
