of Belvidere, South Dakota, died on Sunday, February 21, 1988 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City at the age of 89
Wilbur Osborn, son of Clarence and Nora (Collins) Osborn, was born December 21, 1898, at Davis City, Iowa. He grew up and received his education in the Davis City area.
In the late 1920s, as a young man, he moved to the Belvidere, South Dakota, area. He worked at various occupations in Belvidere, including farming.
He was united in marriage to Eleanor Welfl on February 14, 1931, in Martin, South Dakota. They farmed in the Belvidere area until 1942 when they moved into Belvidere where they resided until his death.
While in Belvidere, Wilbur worked on highway construction until retiring in 1960.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Eleanor, of Belvidere; three sons, Clarence of Kadoka, Francis of Belvidere, and Lewis of Rapid City; two daughters, Mrs. Kay (Troy) Dent of Shalimer, Florida, and Mrs. Jean (Edward) Ehrmantraut of Wadena, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; three brothers, W.R. "Hi" Osborn of Belvidere, Walter Osborn of Thermopolis, Wyoming, and Wayne Osborn of Colville, Washington; one sister, Carmen Matteson, of Benton City, Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Tony.
