of Rapid City, South Dakota, formerly of Kadoka, South Dakota, died on Saturday, March 24, 1984 at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 93
Maude Lingenfelder was born May 6, 1890, at Brewster, Nebraska, to Frank and Minnie Lingenfelder.
She went to school in Nebraska, and moved to Interior in 1917 to work for the Brown Land and Cattle Company. She moved to Kadoka in 1950 and lived there the rest of her life.
Maude was united in marriage to Chauncey Thomas on March 4, 1911, at Chadron, Nebraska. He died in 1948.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Davis on March 5, 1960, at Rapid City, South Dakota. He died in 1979.
Survivors include three step-daughters, Mrs. Willard Larsen of Rapid City, Mrs. Lester Larsen of Sacramento, California, and Mrs. John Farrell of Brownsville, Oregon; one step-son, Loren Davis of Wessington Springs; 13 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
A memorial has been established.
