In memory of

Ronald "Ronnie" Couch

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Monday, May 3, 1993 at his home in Philip at the age of 53

Ronald Keith Couch, better known as "Ronnie", to his family and friends, was born January 28, 1940, in Philip, South Dakota, to Stanley and Pearl (Reimers) Couch. He grew up in Philip and graduated from Philip High School in 1959. Ronnie joined the South Dakota Army National Guard and served from 1962 until 1966.

Ronnie then attended Southern State Teacher's College in Springfield. After returning to Philip he worked as a mechanic at Philip Motor until 1965. In 1965 Ronnie began operating the Reimer's farm-ranch northwest of Philip, which he continued to operate until his death.

He was united in marriage to Kay King on March 24, 1978, in Philip, South Dakota.

Ronnie enjoyed many hobbies, including stock car racing as a driver and also as a spectator, and also bowling. He was a certified pilot and also enjoyed flying radio control model airplanes. He attended the United Church in Philip.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Couch, of Philip; a step-son, Rick Mowell of Spearfish; a step-daughter, Debbie (Craig) Hanrahan, of Philip; six step-grandchildren; his mother, Pearl Couch, of Philip; one sister, Beverly (Carlis) Jahner, of Kerrville, Texas; an aunt, Lena Reimers, of Philip; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father.
