Gregory "Greg" Stocklin

of Quinn, South Dakota, died on Tuesday, February 2, 1999 near Philip at the age of 44

Gregory Allan Stocklin, better known as "Greg" by his family and friends, was born May 30, 1954, to Francis and Florence (Reynolds) Stocklin. He grew up and attended grade school in Haakon county. He graduated from high school in Dupree, South Dakota in 1972. Greg worked as a ranch hand during his high school years.

Gregory was united in marriage to Connie Spencer on November 30, 1974, in Faith, South Dakota, and to this union was born a daughter, Jackie. They made their home on the Ray Neuhauser ranch until moving to the Spencer ranch north of Faith.

In 1983 he moved to the Black Hills area where he worked on the Cundy Ranch. Greg was united in marriage to Sherryl Soliday on July 8, 1984, at Deadwood, South Dakota. They made their home on Frawley Ranch until moving to St. Onge where he worked for St. Onge Livestock Auction. In the fall of 1987 they moved to the Philip area where Greg was employed at the State Inspector for the South Dakota Stockgrowers.

Survivors include his wife, Sherryl Stocklin of Quinn; one daughter, Jackie Stocklin of Lemmon, South Dakota; a step-son, Brandon, of Spearfish; a step-daughter, Beth of Quinn; three brothers, Walter (Deb) Stocklin of Everett, Washington, Michael (Dawn) Stocklin of Faith, and Jeff (Georgia) Stocklin of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents.
