Survivors include her parents Ralph and Julie McQuirk; one brother Elliot McQuirk; and her maternal grandmother Mary Slovek, all of Philip. A special family friend in Alicia’s life was Jennifer (Elshere) Kennedy of Las Vegas, who lived with Alicia’s family during her high school years.

Alicia was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Carol and Ed McQuirk; her maternal grandfather Frank Slovek; and a cousin Chris Poper.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at the Rush Funeral Home in Philip, and one hour preceding the services at the legion hall on Monday.

Dear Ralph, Julie, Elliot, Mary and family
We were so sad to hear of Alicia's death. She certainly fought the battle for so many years, and with a very good attitude whenever we saw her. The loss of a grandchild leaves a huge aching hole in your heart, and I cannot imagine the loss of a child. My heart aches for all of you and I pray that the days, weeks, and months ahead are made more possible by the support of all your family and friends and the thoughts of our wonderful Savior. Faith seems to be the one thing that brings a sense of Peace. Love and prayers for better tomorrows.
