Agnes Buchholzof Philip, South Dakota, died on Monday, January 17, 2000

Agnes Gertrude Lamm was born August 31, 1927, on her parents' farm 10 miles northwest of Philip, South Dakota, to Clemens J. "Hi" and Mary (Hoffman) Lamm.
She grew up and received her education in that community.
Agnes was united in marriage to Carl J. "Pinky" Buchholz on October 6, 1961, at Cottonwood, South Dakota.
They made their home in Philip all their married life.
While in Philip, she was a babysitter for many children and was known as "Grandma Agnes". She loved and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends.
Her husband, Carl, preceded her in death on March 17, 1995.
Agnes was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Tribe 9 of the Evening Guild, and the Bad River Senior Citizens Center, all of Philip.
Grateful for having shared her life are her two sons, Mark Buchholz and his wife, Lynn, of Philip, and Steve Buchholz and his wife, Sandy, of Sturgis; two daughters, Mary Fitzgerald and her husband, Bill, of Milesville, and Helen Witcraft and her husband, John, of Rapid City; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Frank Lamm of Philip; one sister, Dorothy McKinney of Rapid City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Carl, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Rudy and George Lamm; one sister, Marie Roth; and a nephew, Robert Lamm.
A memorial is established.
