Hazel M. Stark

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Sunday, January 26, 1997
at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 75

Hazel M. Wall was born July 1, 1921, at Chamberlain, South Dakota, the daughter of Judson "Judd" and Anna (Weiland) Wall.

She grew up and received her education in the Chamberlain area.  As a young lady she moved to Philip, South Dakota, where she worked for her sister as a waitress at the B&M Cafe.

Hazel was united in marrige to Tex Stark and to this union was born two sons, Phil and Doug.  They made their home in Tonopah, Nevada, where they resided until moving to Philip.

While in Philip, Hazel worked as a clerk in the Philip Pharmacy for about 20 years.  She then worked as a waitress at the Philip Sale Barn Cafe until her retirement in 1994.

Grateful for having shared her life are her two sons, Phil Stark and his wife, JoAnn, of Cottonwood, and Doug Stark of Sioux Falls; a granddaughter, Lisa Stark of Dallas, Texas; three step-grandchildren, Debra Schoonover of Farmington, Missouri, Cynthia Wallace of Valley Lee, Maryland, and Teresa Hill of Rocky Mt., North Carolina; a sister, Olive Fenner of Milbank, South Dakota; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Charlotte "Lottie" Fenner, Madge Lindquist, and Blanche Daly; and a brother, Don Wall.

A memorial is established.
