Oscar W. Eisenbraun

of Creighton, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, July 17, 1996
at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City at the age of 80

Oscar W. Eisenbraun was born February 13, 1916, at Creighton, South Dakota, the son of Martin P. and Lydia (Denke) Eisenbraun.  He grew up and attended schools at Creighton and Wall, South Dakota.

Oscar was united in marriage to Margaret Luikens at Freeman, South Dakota, on April 28, 1940, at Creighton.  They resided near Creighton, where they farmed and ranched, all their married life.

Oscar was baptized and a confirmed member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Creighton, where he served as an elder.  He served as treasurer of the local school district for 25 years, and was a supervisor for Rainy Creek Township.

Oscar enjoyed his grandchildren and playing music with his family.  He also enjoyed blading roads.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 56 years, Margaret Eisenbraun of Creighton; a son, Fred Eisenbraun and his wife, Doris, of Creighton; four daughters: Lorraine Fauske and her husband, Norman, of Wall; Alice Richter of New Underwood; Anna Brown and her husband, Don, of Elko, Nevada; and Alma Crosbie and her husband, Gene, of New Underwood; nine grandchildren; one brother, Edmond Eisenbraun of Creighton; two step-brothers, Edwin Drewitz of Creighton and Oscar Drewitz of Rapid City; one step-sister, Tillie Eisenbraun of Creighton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother; three brothers, Leo, Otto, and Erwin Eisenbraun; a step-brother, Alvin Drewitz; a son-in-law, Ted Richter; and a granddaughter, Monica Richter.

A memorial is established.
