Waneta R. Holcombof Kadoka, South Dakota, died on Saturday, July 11, 1992

Waneta R. Westfall was born March 19, 1914, at Winigan, Missouri, to Evertt and Gladys (Seymour) Westfall.
In 1918 she moved with her parents, by train, to Genoa, Colorado. She grew up in that area prior to graduating from Hugo High School in Hugo, Colorado.
She was united in marriage to LaMoine J. "Lee" Holcomb on April 8, 1934, at Edgewater, Colorado.
They farmed in the Cope, Colorado, area until 1947 when they moved to a ranch west of Kadoka, which they operated until 1972 when they sold the ranch and moved to the State Game Lodge near Custer, South Dakota. They worked the summer months at the Game Lodge and spent the winter months in Arizona. In 1976 they moved back to Kadoka.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, on April 28, 1979.
She continued to make her home in Kadoka and has continued to go to Arizona in the winter months.
Waneta was a member of the Kadoka Presbyterian Church of Kadoka, South Dakota.
Grateful for having shared her life are her three daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Stanley) Porch of Wanblee, South Dakota, Patty (Mrs. Mike) Groven of Kadoka, and Barbara (Mrs. Bob) Toliver of Kingsley, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert Westfall of Limon, Colorado, Delbert Westfall of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Leroy Westfall of Lamar, Colorado; three sisters, Viola (Mrs. Clifford) Kelly of Payson, Arizona, Fern (Mrs. Ralph) Ewing and Leila (Mrs. Don) Amburger, both of Genoa, Colorado; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Lee, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Thelma Prettyman and Lucille Westfall, as a child.
