Lee Scott Larson was born October 18, 1945, at St. Paul, Minnesota, to Gust A. and Lucy (Bonhorst) Larson. When he was a child the family moved to Midland, where he grew up. He graduated from Midland High School in 1963.
He attended Black Hills State College and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966. After his discharge in 1969 he returned to Midland and worked for Midland Grain and Lumber there until 1986.
He was united in marriage to Darlyn Zentner on May 17, 1985, at Spearfish, South Dakota.
They lived in Midland until October of 1987, when they moved to Dickinson, North Dakota. He worked at Dickinson Ready Mix and had been accepted for the spring semester at Dickinson State University.
Larson was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland, where he was confirmed on December 25, 1959.
He also was a member of the Midland American Legion Post #147.
Survivors include his wife, Darlyn, who lives in Dickinson; two sons, Ronald Scott Larsen of Philip, and Gregory Larson of Midland; one daughter, Kathy Leeann Larson of Midland; three step-sons, Kerry and Troy Mosbrucker, both of Mott, North Dakota, and Bob Mosbrucker of Dickinson; three step-daughters, Lori and Jenny Kehrberg and Donald Hintz, all of Dickinson; his parents, of Midland; two brothers, Larry Larson of Brandon, and Charles Larson of Midland.
