Mary Lou Wintrode

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Friday, December 29, 2000
at her home in Philip, after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 56

Mary Lou Massett was born February 7, 1944, in Enumclaw, Washington.  At an early age Mary Lou moved to the Gettysburg, South Dakota, a few years later.

She was united in marriage to Les Wintrode on February 10, 1962, in Philip, South Dakota.

Mary Lou was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and other various organizations in the area.

She is surived by her husband, Les Wintrode of Philip, South Dakota; her sons, Bill Wintrode of Rockford, Illinois, Robert Wintrode of Berkeley, California, and Steven Wintrode of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her brothers, Gus Massett of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Raymond Hanson Jr. of Custer, South Dakota; her sisters, JoAnn Hanson of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Selma Thorson of Philip, South Dakota.  In addition, four grandchildren, Shannon, Nichole, Jeff, and Megan, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
