Esther Scholl

of Kadoka, South Dakota, died on Tuesday, February 7, 1984
at the Kadoka Retirement Home in Kadoka at the age of 84

Esther Mae Rittel was born June 16, 1899, at Wagner, South Dakota, to Martin and Mary Rittel.  She grew up in the Wagner, Gregory, and Naper, Nebraska, area.  

On November 25, 1918, she was united in marriage to Peter F. Scholl at Gregory, South Dakota.  They lived in Gregory until 1931 when they moved to Wanblee, where they ranched.  They retired in 1958 and moved to Kadoka.

Survivors include two daughters, Belza Searby of Kadoka, and Goldie Carson of Spearfish; two sons, Albert of Kadoka, and Sol of Payson, Arizona; one sister, Amelia Wiedmann of Long Valley; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.

A memorial has been established.
