Guest Book

Steve and Stan, I hope as time passes, your days of sorrow will pass and be replaced with smiles when you see something that reminds you of your Dad and the great man he was while he with us.

With a heavy heart I send my condolences to all family members. Charlie had one of the most contagious smiles and laugh, I will never forget. It was always a joy to have him and other neighbors help work cattle or trade out help in other ways. All I can think is that heaven has received a pretty special fella to ride in the round-up in the sky.

We are so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing, he was such a nice man and so very easy to be around. He was so nice to Chris and I and the kids when we moved to S.D. He will be missed. God bless you Charlie.

Charlie may You rest in peace and hopefully join with Sandra again.
Sandra my cousin was Oswald and Emma´s daughter who I met the first time 1971. Oswald was the oldest of 7 brothers and 1 sister and he immigrated from Sweden 1927 - and after a few years of hard work he settled in S.Dakota White River with his wife Emma.
I became a pen-friend with my cousin Sandra in the early sixties and finally after 40 years Oswald and Emma they had someone to look after and run the farm - and they travelled to Sweden and Oswald met up with all his brothers and sister- this was the first time back in his old country. We / me and my two uncles John and Thor and my father Holger - had to repay their visit and on a sunny July´s day 1971 - we crossed the Atlantic and arrived in the beautiful cowboy country S-Dakota - we spent 3 lovely weeks and travelled all over the state - and Charlie and I went on like a house on fire - he was great company and so was his wife my cousin Sandra and of course Oswald and Emma.
A BQ-steak got a total different dimension after our visit to the Jarl-Knispel Ranch. I am very pleased that Sandra and Charlie managed to come over to Sweden and visit us - and again I had a great time with Charlie - he gave me a sticker reading S.Dakota - Cowboy Country - love it or leave. The photo with Charlie on the horse - that´s the way i always will remember You.
God Bless You.

May Charlie rest in peace. He was a kind and gentle man and I know he will be missed by his brother, John, with whom he maintained family ties through thick and thin. An awesome angel, by all means!

He was such a fun loving person. Many a time was spent riding horses, round ups, branding, and we loved swimming in the pool. Condolence to the family. Now he can be with his love. God bless.
