Well, today was the day my grandfather took his last breath here on Earth. He was a wonderful man. Very honest to the point of blundt.

We were all talking about the memories we had over dinner tonight with the family. It was nice, we laughed and we cried but it was a moment to treasure. It is so hard to except that he is not with us anymore but selfish to wish he was. He went peacefully so I can ask for no more.

I wish you all had the pleasure to know what kind of man he was, they way he joked and went about his business. He was one of a kind ,I can say that with certain; however, my dad is taking after fairly close in his old age.

I can not think of this as the end because for him it is the beginning at a second life with the love of his life, my Grandmother. She went home on my birthday, January 28, 2006 and I know has been waiting patiently for her beloved.

Grandpa George you will be missed everyday by so many people family and friends. We all love you. Rest In Peace!

Love

Kristen aka Rosie

On Monday, Sept 10 something tragic happened. You were rid'in your atv to Connie's for Supper round  6 pm and you were struck by a car. I did not hear my pager go off and Uncle Ronnie came to the house and told Dad and I what had happened. We rushed to your side.

When I got there the ambulance was there with you. You had one of the best EMT's there already and you were sitt'in on the cot already to go. Dad came up to you and u said u did not want to go to Pierre, but he said you were going and that was that.

I was with you all the way to Pierre. I kept doing the Trama Assesment to make sure you were okay and there was never any signs of what was about to happen. You were talking about me when I was little how I could swim all over the dam. We talked about how my butt was too big but it was a good thing I had it that day because I stood at your feet to block the sun from your eyes.  We talked about Grandma and her chocolate cake and about Snoopy, Jake, and Spike.  You told me you were okay and me and Mom could clean you up. I told you you better make sure with the Doc and he might say I needed to move in and take care of you and for the first time you said "That would be alright" I told you I loved you and you said it back. You held my hand and I cired. I am so sorry Grandpa, I thought you were okay, there were no signs of anything. I just knew you would be home that night with Connie. But u never came home, instead everyone was on thier way to Sioux Falls due to you going into acoma. We were all there, you were never alone.

It is Saturday, Sept, 15 today and u are still hold'in on. Your BP has dropped and they are regulating it with medicine. You keep fight'in I am not ready to say goodbye yet. I love you so very much.

Love your grandaughter

Dear Boumans,
It must be a great feeling to have had so many wonderful years with good health and good times. He served so many for so long.
May he rest in peace and may it bring you peace to know that he is in a far better place than we could provide for him here on earth.
