My Grandmother was the perfect definition of what a Grandmother is thought to be.  If they were to ever make a film about the Perfect Grandmother, Inga would be the image.

Whenever us grandkids had a chance, they always wanted to go to Grandma's house.  As a young child I can alway remember when I walked into the house, I would go to the cookie car (an orange owl) and have one of grandma's cookies.  If the cookie car was empty you could bet their was probably a pie somewhere.  Or how about he garden they used to grow?  Every Fall we would get together to pick sweet corn so that it could be canned and stored for winter.  I don't know how many people she thought we would have to feed with several pickup/truck loads of vegatables we used to harvest from the garden.  I also will never forget the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter dinners.  The hours spent preparing the food and desserts.  I could hardly wait until the next holiday feast at Grandma's house.

Grandma always said that life wasn't always perfect nor easy for my grandparents, but as a kid growing up it always seemed to be perfect and the perfect place to be was at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

My grandma and grandpa spent endless hours caring, providing and loving for family, friends and neighbors.

Thanks Grandma for all that you have been, all that you have done, and for all the unconditional love given to Todd, Tamara, Heidi, Heather, and Robert Jr. Blair.  You will be missed, but always remembered!

Inga will be missed by all, she was quite a little lady with a strong mind and constitution.  Her address and date book is invaluable, so be sure to preserve it with great care, it carries with it a lot of dates and figures of value to many.  It was a pleasure to have been among her many friends.  Masha and Bill Sumpter

I have to agree with Todd. I have a lot of fond memories. I remember going to Grandpa and Grandma's on Sundays and watching Mutual of Omahas Wild Kingdom and the Wonderful World of Disney. I remember going to stay with them in the old house. Those wood floors were soooo cold, but Grandma had lots of thick blankets and quilts on the bed, and once you were under them it felt so cozy. I would go out with Grandpa to milk the cows and feed the chickens. Of course, it was so early that we woke up the rooster, but when we got inside, Grandma had coffee and juice and was cooking bacon and poached or soft boiled eggs and pancakes. The holiday meals were something to remember. We played hi-low pitch after eating. The only thing that compared to holidays was branding. You could always count on Grandma and Anna Hanson to have a feast. We always tried to have the work done before eating because after that the guys had their bellies full and just wanted to lay in the shade. Todd mentioned the garden. I remember going to help pick beans and peas. You know, the only time I've ever liked peas was eating them right there in the garden. Grandma always had to be doing something. I remember when she worked at the sale barn cafe. She did more than most of the gals that were 30 or 40 years younger than her. When she got her fingers in the lawn mower, she went in and wrapped a rag around them and called Jim and Sandi to take her to the hospital. She couldn't just wait, though. She was cleaning up where she dripped on the step! She couldn't leave it for someone else. Grandma touched alot of lives and will be missed by many, but I'm sure she has been welcomed by Harry, Anna, Hans T., Susie, Oscar Hanson, Charles Price, Bob Radway, and many other friends and relatives. I'm also sure that if there haven't been any pitch games yet, tommorrows Sunday and she will be watching at T34.
