I was sorry to hear the news on Monday, June 16, 2003, that Joe had passed
away. I have many fond memories of Joe from when I was small. I
remember my grandfather, John Bielmaier, taking me to see Joe and Zetta and it
was always something I looked forward to and occasionally I would even stay with
them overnight. I remember going out in the fields with Joe and my
grandfather to see the crops and then coming back and Zetta would have a
fantastic meal ready for us all. I am sorry I will not be able to attend
the funeral as I am leaving for Portland, OR for several days on a work related
trip. My deepest sympathy to the family. Please feel free to contact
me if there is anything I can do to help. Joe will be missed by many
people.
