Russell Hampton was married to my mother, Lois Hampton. I was young,
but I still remember Lois and Otto and our visit to Kadoka.

We were saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. We have wonderful
memories of Lois and Otto as children growing up. They were good friends
with our family and with the entire Baldwin family. They go back to the
homestead days together. We were so glad to see Lois in August of this year as
we traveled through Kadoka. Lois and Otto were good friends to our parents Fern
and Ed Cronk and even shared in some fishing and square dancing. Our hearts are
saddened with your loss.

We are thinking of all of you, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We cannot be at the funeral; Lois would appreciate the fact that we have to
gather up some wandering cattle in the morning. Take care and God Bless.

Lois was the most wonderful friend to my Mom. She is going to miss her
terribly. It was a pleasure for me to get to visit her on the occasions
that I came to visit Mom. I also enjoyed her e-mails. I didn't
realize that she had been sick. I last saw her in March.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
