Robert A. "Bob" Barclay, age 86, of Philip, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at the Kadoka Care Center. Services and interment will be at a later date in the Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Robert A. "Bob" Barclay was born April 30, 1915 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of James and Elizabeth (Thompson) Barclay. He grew up and received his education in the Pittsburgh area.

Robert was united in marriage to Margot Galka on August 9, 1937 in Pittsburgh.

They made their home in Pittsburgh where he worked for Mesta Machine Shop. Bob retired as a foreman after thirty years at the machine shop.

Robert and Margot continued to live in Pittsburgh until moving to Philip in 1991.

His wife Margot preceded him in death on February 26, 2000.

Robert continued to reside in Philip until moving into the Kadoka Care Center on August 24, 2001.

Survivors include three daughters, Roberts Bandi and her husband Russ of Philip, Sandra Petrovich and her husband Tony of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Marline Gerlach and her husband Erwin of Philip; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Holbert, Marie Oliver, and Mary Westerwick, all of Pittsburgh.

In addition to his wife, Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Robert A. Barclay, Jr.;  a daughter, Lorraine King; three brothers, David Barclay, James Barclay, Jr. and William Barclay; and one sister, Ethel Barclay as a child.
