I was so saddened to hear of Vicky's death.  She was always so involved in her family and happy to spend time with the grandchildren whenever possible. Her home was her castle and the pride in the improvements done in the past few years was so good.
"Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength."  Vicky was great to accept the responsibility of being a call person when her neighbor, my mom, Ruth Fairchild, needed a close response person and Vicky went to hang up the phone that got knocked off the hook and visit with Ruth on several occasions.  We take those kindnesses for granted, but it was greatly appreciated.  A wonderful caring person will be missed.
