  • Dear Margy and family: One of the many things I miss about not being at ASFMRA anymore is being around special folks like Jerry and you. I am heartbroken for you and the family at Jerry's loss. Seems as if we have lost a number of special folks this past year, and each loss is hurtful. I recall at the ASFMRA meetings watching you and Jerry dance and thinking what a beautiful and perfect couple you were. Jerry was a delight and a pleasure to work with, play with, have a glass of wine with (or two). Please give Lisa my sympathies as well as I know she and her Dad were so close. We will be in touch, but in the meantime, may the love of God and your friends bring much needed comfort and peace at this most difficult time and during the tough months to come. Our love, Nancy, Miles, & Keegan ~ Nancy & Miles Hardiman 13215 E. Bethany Place, Aurora, CO 80014 (10/15/2006)

You will all be in our thoughts and prayers. - Dave ~ David GaNun PO Box 256, Sergeantsville, NJ 08557 (10/15/2006)

Since receiving my ARA in the 1992 class with Jerry, I have come to appreciate him for all that he has advanced in rural appraisal. He will be missed. • Marge & family:
I got to know Jerry like so many others through our professional life. I am a retired ag appraiser and made Jerry's acquaintance through the development and use of the UAAR software. I took a couple of seminars where Jerry was one of the instructors and found him to be always helpful and eager to listen and teach and always willing to help with any problem I had due to not knowing how to make it work or some glitch in the developing software. I was really shocked at his passing. He will be really missed by both professionals and friends. Laurel

Please accept our sympathy at this time of great loss in your family. What a wonderful human being was Jerry. He always had something cheerful or insightful to say--not a lot of idle chatter. • Marge - I know this is coming from a friend of many years ago....and I just wanted to share how much I thought of Jerry and the many great times I had with him as we travel around the Omaha FLB area reviewing appraisals....Also a night that Eleanor and I had at your house and the great time had by all.
I know the difficulties of having that precious spouse go on before us. Eleanor died in 1994 I then remarried to a special Gift from God, Gladys and she went home in 2004. It is not an easy time but our God does know just the right time for all events in our lives and He will show us the message and blessing that He has in the event....

My love and concern goes out to you, your family and my very special long time friend Elnoris....

    God Bless

  • Marge -- I know my words and thoughts cannot assuage you loss and heartbreak -- Jerry left a big hole to fill. As we all look back at the great times we have all had with you and Jerry -- it can't help but bring a smile to our face. Jerry had such a natural smile -- and used it often; no one will ever forget that natural happiness. He touched a lot of lives in his work with FCSA, on UAAR, ASFMRA with his teaching; everyone he met remembers him. I am sure that same passion carried over to his personal and family life. Certainly in his quest for fine wine !!!! We are all grateful and better folks for having been acquainted with him -- Thanks you for that.
