Glen was born on March 26, 1930, in Laramie, Wyoming. He was the second son of Chris Jensen and Mimi Vogt Jensen. He grew up fishing and exploring with his friends, building rafts, riding bikes, and general young boy mayhem. He played track, football, and basketball all through high school, where he excelled in all three sports.

He graduated from Laramie High school in 1949 and then enlisted in the Navy, following in his older brother Bob’s footsteps. He did his basic training and was stationed for the first two years in Memphis Tennessee. He was then transferred to Port Lyautey, Morocco Naval air station during the Korean War. After the Navy, he returned to Laramie where he graduated from the University of Wyoming with his degree in business.

He then went to work for Pan America Petroleum Company as an accountant. He was first assigned to the Riverton, Wyoming office. That is where he met the love of his life, Kay Norton. Kay was teaching in Riverton when they met. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married in Kadoka, SD on July 26, 1958. They lived in Casper, WY, where Glen continue to work for Pan America. They had their oldest daughter Shawn, while living there. They moved to the home ranch at Kadoka in 1962. The following year, they had their second child, Shivaun. Glen then went to work as a field auditor for the department of legislative audit. He loved his job. It took him all over the state, where he met so many people that he became friends with. While he was gone often during his auditing years, he always made time to get home for his daughters activities.

He retired from the department of legislative audit after 30 years. He was then able to pursue his many hobbies including: gardening, riding his motorcycle with friends, boating, going to Denver Broncos games with his wife Kay, and spending time with his four grandchildren, Key, Royal, Ben, and Sam, who he adored.

Glen and Kay moved to Rapid City in 2010 due to Kay’s declining health. He was devoted to Kay until her death on May 3, 2018. Since then, he continued to enjoy gardening, reading, watching hockey, and spending time with family. He enjoyed getting to know his great-grandchildren, Parker and Joyner. One of the highlights of the year was attending his grandson Ben’s wedding last fall, where danced and even drank a little champagne.

Survivors include: Two daughters - Shawn Pahlke and husband Dan of Rapid City; Shivaun Williams and husband Steve of Norris SD; Four grandchildren - Key Addison of Norris, SD; Royal Addison and fiancee Brittany Weidmann of Norris, SD; Ben Pahlke and wife Raysha of Sioux Falls, SD; Sam Pahlke of Rapid City, SD; Great -granddaughter Parker and great-grandson Joyner; Nephew Chris Jensen of Newport Beach, CA; and nephew James Jensen of Cape Cod, MA.

Glen was preceded in death by his brother Ralph (at infancy), his father Chris Jensen, his mother Mimi Vogt Jensen, his niece Linda Jensen, his brother Robert Jensen, and his wife Kay.

Private family graveside services with military honors will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
