In memory of

Charyn Doyle

of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 35

Charyn was born July 19, 1987 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Joyce and Don Doyle. Charyn lived most of her life in Wanblee where she went to school at Crazy Horse until she graduated in 2005. Charyn then started a life with Sonny Red Blanket, and they were married in 2010. They had three children together: TyAnna, Taiyen, and Tatelyn. Charyn and her family lived in Ft. Stewart, Georgia from 2011-2016. Then they lived in Ft. Riley, Kansas for a year until Charyn and the kids moved home to Wanblee. Charyn then spent the last three years of her life in Sioux Falls.

Survivors include three children: Taiyen Don Red Blanket of Huron; TyAnna Rose Red Blanket of Mitchell and Tatelyn Amelia Red Blanket of Wanblee; her mother Joyce of Wanblee; sisters: Doreen Milk, Linda Doyle, Chardon Doyle, and Dawn Doyle all of Wanblee; brothers: Tyler Lamont of Rapid City, Chance Milk of Pine Ridge, and Colin Pretends Eagle of Wanblee; hunka sisters: Naomi Edwards, Kateri Gone, Kathy Iron Rope, Tasha New Holy-Randall, Tanya Dull Knife, Shai Dull Knife, and Sonja Jack; hunka brother Bill Lamont; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Don “Coke” Doyle.

A two-night wake service starts at noon on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the TNT Center in Wanblee and will continue until the service time on Monday.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023 at the TNT Center in Wanblee with Chris Grillo officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr. Richard Moves Camp.

Burial will follow at Gethsemane Episcopal Church Cemetery in Wanblee.
