of Wall, South Dakota, died on Friday, May 28, 2021 at her home in Wall at the age of 28
Rachael Ilene Huether was born in Elko, Nevada on November 4th, 1992. She had a golden heart and an infectious smile. She gave everyone the benefit of the doubt and saw the best in everyone. She could and would stand up for those that she loved and what she felt was right.
Rachael attended school in Wall, South Dakota and for a period in New Underwood, South Dakota. For much of this time her passion was basketball. People would often mention hearing her play ball at night. She was even known to sleep with the basketball.
Rachael had quite the fashion sense. She would wear winter clothes in the summer and summer clothes in the winter. Her Grandma Marsa would call her backwards Alice. Her favorite accessory was her stocking cap. She always had a difficult time deciding if she should wear dark black or light black.
Rachael had a creative soul. Poems helped her to express herself as she was not great with spoken word. In fact, she was really bad at telling jokes, but this made them just as funny. As a lover of music and dance, she most enjoyed shaking it with grandma. She loved to cook and was wonderful at it. People often talked about her special dishes like jalapeno poppers and Rachael’s spicy steak dish.
Rachael’s family extends far beyond her blood relatives. She was the mother hen to everyone. Everyone she met fell in love with her and she loved them just as much. She had the spirit of a child and children were drawn to her. She could often be found wrestling and playing around with them.
Rachael was the baby of the girls and a middle child of all the siblings. She was Kayla’s baby. She had a special relationship with her sister Kelsey because they were Irish twins for 15 days. She had a special connection with her brother Shay because he made her a big sister. She was incredibly proud and in love with Jace and Gage.
Survivors include her fiance Taryn Rave and her children Landon and Jensyn of Wall; her father Will Huether and his wife Amy of New Underwood; her mother Heather (Williams) Huether of Wall; a special son Lyric Kane Kuske of Philip; three brothers Shay Huether of Rapid City, Jace Huether of New Underwood, and Gage Huether of New Underwood; two sisters Kayla Huether (Jonathan Arnio) and Kelsey Huether of Wall; her paternal grandmother Patty Huether of Wall; her maternal grandmother Marsa Walker of Wall; special grandparents Bill and Diane Tines of New Underwood; a great-uncle Bill Lyle of Wall; nieces and nephews Jaxon and Rivers, Braxtyn and Coy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
