In memory of

Sandra Eisenbraun

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at her home in Wall at the age of 66

Sandra Kay (Glassgow) Eisenbraun was born in Quinn, South Dakota on April 14, 1959, to DeWayne and Florence (Pearson) Glassgow. She lived in Wall, South Dakota and attended Wall School for 13 years, graduating in 1977. On June 3, 1977, she married Alvin in Creighton, South Dakota at Erwin and Tillie Eisenbraun’s home place. They lived at the home place with their kids until they sold the place in 1998 and moved to Wall.

Sandra was heavily involved in education and community activities. She worked from the age of 11 for her parents as well as helping with all aspects of the ranching and dairy operation. She worked as an aid two different times for Wall School.

They welcomed four children into their lives. Sandra never missed an event her kids were in. She was a 4-H leader, a Jr Class advisor, and received the "Friend of Football" award twice.

After moving to Wall, she managed the Super 8 Motel, cooked for Meals on Wheels, and then her and Alvin bought De's Oil from her mom in 2005. In 2008 she started San Dee's and ran that until 2019.

She battled cancer for 22 years and was a selfless person who was involved in everything and never expected any recognition for her contributions. Sandra was also a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Creighton.

Grateful for sharing her life include husband of 48 years Alvin; her children: Dee Dee (Eric) Bresee, Kalvin (Heather) Eisenbraun, Brittany (Bill) Bryant, and Darick (Caryn) Eisenbraun; grandchildren: Damion (Hanna) Bresee, Kaydence Eisenbraun, Molly Bryant, Karlie Eisenbraun, Macy Bryant, Collins Eisenbraun, and Emma Eisenbraun; sisters Cindy (Ray) Williams and Alma (Ross) Coldfelter; sister-in-law Margie Eisenbraun; brother-in-law Roger Eisenbraun; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents DeWayne and Florence Glassgow; brother DeWayne Glassgow; and in-laws Erwin and Tillie Eisenbraun.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is established to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Cards and memorials may be sent to P.O. Box 367, Wall, SD 57790.

A memorial visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Creighton with Pastor Christopher McCarthy officiating.

  • Les and Sandra were cousins, so Les has a lot of memories growing up together as kids. Sandra was quite a lady, she never let on how hard things were these later years. She was a very good daughter to her Mom, Joann has many memories of the two of them together. We would always see Sandra at her kids and grandkids events, always cheering them on. We all know that she is in a better place, but will be missed by many. Hold on to all the memories, take care of each other. ~ Les & Joann Pearson Philip, SD (6/6/2025)
