You all are constantly in our thoughts and prayers during this very hard time. To lose such a special person so unexpectedly leaves a huge void in your life and an ache in your heart, but God will be there to help you through. Hold on to your faith and to each other during this difficult time. That is what Joyce would want you to do. She will always be with you and live on through your happy memories you have of all those special family gatherings. God will take good care of her until you see her again.

What a shock for everyone. I enjoyed a nice visit with Joyce just last Saturday at the Mudbog. She always was interested in the kids and what they were doing, so we spent some time catching up. I'm so glad we did. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She wanted to know when Walter and Ryan would be back fishing. Well, Joyce, they were there today! I'm sure you saw them from your spot in heaven. You were always such an inspiration to all of us when the kids were growing up and into their walk with the Lord. May your walk with the Lord be a peaceful one, and we will look to heaven to see you guiding us from his side. Our thoughts and prayers are with those you left behind. Memories will be with us forever.

We are so deeply saddened and shocked to hear about your loss. I just spoke and saw Joyce on Friday night at the dance/celebration and commented what a beautiful ceramic cross necklace she was wearing. She was always so friendly, caring and happy! Indeed, we will all miss her but we're especially thinking and praying for you during this time of grief and transition. May the peace of God and many happy memories comfort you.

To her family,
There are no words to heal this hurt but know we are all here for you, praying. It was such sad news to hear of the loss of this wonderful lady. I remember when I was a young, bride and expecting mother- about 22 years ago. And how Joyce welcomed me to the community. Making sure to invite me to church and other events and even helping to put on a baby shower for me when I was expecting James. She always made sure I knew what was going on and personally invited us to come. She will be missed by us all. Our thoughts are with you now as you go through this very difficult time.

We are very saddened by the loss of Joyce and want you to know we are thinking of all of you during this hard time. We so enjoyed being neighbors with her and Dale on the Bad River when we lived at Borghild's house. I really enjoyed it when she'd come over to visit, especially after Cass was born, as she would sit and rock him to sleep while I went for morning walks. May God give you much strength and love. We will dearly miss Joyce.

Susie, so sorry to hear about your Mom. My Dad and sister called me this morning and told us about the accident. Your Mom was so full of life with a warm smile for everyone she met. I remember her running up and down the sidelines at the Midland football games cheering the Vikings on. What an inspiration she was even back then.
You are in our prayers and thoughts and may you find comfort in all of the wonderful memories you shared with your Mom .

Dale, Susan, June and families,
I was shocked and saddened by Joyce's sudden death. I have many fond memories of my Aunt Joyce. She stayed with Mom and Dad for some of her high school years and I loved having her at our home. She would take my sister and me downtown for ice cream or a float on hot afternoons. I remember watching her be a cheerleader at the games and will always remember her absolute joy in watching sports, especially any time the Midland Vikings played. Joyce was always concerned about other people and was so helpful to all, especially her family. When hard times would come, she just prayed more and helped more. She will be sorely missed, especially by all of you, her family I am so sorry for your loss, but you can take comfort knowing she is free and happy in heaven with Jesus and her loved ones gone before.

I was so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Joyce. She was a very pleasant lady, and when watching the slides, it was evident that she loved and had a good time with family. I can remember when I taught in Midland running up and down the sidelines at football games, and I don't know who was the loudest or fastest, Joyce or myself. She was always such a complimentary person, one that will be missed by so many. There is never a time when a loss of a loved one is easy, but when a death is so untimely, it is even more difficult. May you find comfort in reflecting back on the fond memories of Joyce, as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. My thoughts are with you as you reflect on Joyce.
