Marsha Jean was born January 21, 1936, in Wall, South Dakota, the daughter of Leo and Doris “Murph” (Way) Foster. She graduated from Wall High School in 1954. Marsha raised three children in the Rapid City area, Michael, Mark and Shelley.
Survivors include her son Michael and his wife Julie of Stockton, California and their four children Christopher and great-grandson Alex, Jennifer, Zachary and Matthew Vaughn. Daughter Shelley Cope and her husband Dave of Lewisville, Texas, and their three children Brandon and wife Brittany, and great-grandson Jacoby, Travis and his wife Nicki, and Linzey; a daughter-in-law Colleen Vaughn-Hill of Stockton, California and her daughter Betsy. Brother Arlen Foster of Fort Pierre; two sisters Barb Reoh and her husband Charlie of Rapid City, and Lynn Staikoff and her husband Ted of Black Hawk; a brother-in-law Kenny Parker of Pierre. Special friends Deb and Dan Senftner and family, and Kevin and Pam Watts and family; and numerous special nieces, nephews and friends.
Marsha was preceded in death by her son Mark Vaughn; her parents; a sister Dixie Parker; a brother Dennis Foster; and a sister-in-law Judy Foster.
A Celebration of Life will held at the clubhouse of the Harmony Heights Apartments 1731 Harmony Heights Lane in Rapid City. The Celebration will be from 2-4PM on Sunday July 17th. Coffee and cake will be served.
