Gloria J. "Jeanie" Kingsbury

of Pine Island, Minnesota, formerly of Kadoka, South Dakota, died on Sunday, September 25, 2011
in Pine Island, Minnesota at the age of 63

Gloria Jean Grimes was born on October 28, 1947 in Rapid City, South Dakota, to Lewis E. and Elsie V. (Peterson) Grimes. She grew up in Weta, South Dakota, attended and graduated from high school in Kadoka in 1965. Jeanie then attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD.
On August 26, 1967 she married John R. Kingsbury in Kadoka. They lived in several communities during their first years of marriage. In 1971 Jeanie graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna. From 1972-1994 Jeanie and John lived in Rosemount and Jeanie taught at the Rosemount Christian School for five years. She was also very active in the Ladies ministry at First Baptist Church in Rosemount. In 1994 they moved to Pine Island and from 1995 - 2008 she home schooled her daughter Megan from K-12th grade. From 1980 until her death, Jeanie was the administrative assistant for Kingsbury Builders Supply Inc. Jeanie loved the American West, her ranching heritage, and was a 4-H Leader and an avid seamstress. She was presently a member of Grace Baptist Church in Waseca.
Jeanie is survived by her husband, John of Pine Island; her daughter Megan Kingsbury and her fiancé Matthew D. Wiggs, both of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Thomas E. Grimes and Jerry (Merilee) Grimes, both of Kadoka, SD, thirteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, and one niece Jessica Ray Grimes 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. 
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pine Island with Pastor Clarke Poorman of Grace Baptist Church in Waseca officiating. 
Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Keystone Cemetery in Keystone, SD.

Visitation: Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota 
Funeral services: Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pine Island.
Graveside services:  11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Keystone Cemetery in Keystone, SD.
