Marjorie P. Reynolds

of Interior, South Dakota, died on Saturday, December 24, 2011
at the Clarkson Mt. View Healthcare Facility in Rapid City, surrounded by her family at the age of 91

Marjorie Bevis was born November 9, 1920, at Kearney, Nebraska, the daughter of Leslie F. and Flora J. (Reeves) Bevis. She attended grade school at Gibbon and graduated from the Grand Island High School. She received her B.A. degree from Drake University.
Marjorie married Robert Wm. Reynolds on July 3, 1942, at Omaha. He died November 18, 1989.
Marjorie worked in the library at Drake University, Des Moines Public Library, the University of Iowa, Bennett County, SD, New Ulm, MN, and the Kimball Centennial Library. She retired in 1994. 
She was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church and was an ordained elder. Marjorie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Interior, and the Presbyterian Women. 
Survivors include two sons Robert Alan Reynolds and his wife Linda of Dewitt, Michigan, and William Reynolds and his wife Paula of Rapid City; three daughters Ann Luedtka and her husband Charles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Susan Peterson and her husband Larry of Astoria, South Dakota, and Linda Livermont and her husband Galen of Interior; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two brothers Donald Bevis of Bradenton, Florida; and Jerry Bevis and his wife Jeri of Johnston, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Robert; two grandchildren Eddie and Charlotte; and a sister-in-law Peg Bevis.
Memorial services were held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, at the Presbyterian Church in Interior, with Pastor Kathy Chesney officiating.
Graveside services were held 4:00 p.m. CST, Thursday, at the Kimball Community Cemetery at Kimball, South Dakota.
A memorial has been established to the Interior Presbyterian Church or the Interior Fire & Rescue Department.

So sorry to hear of Marjorie's death. I remember her fondly from my days as pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Interior. She was always very supportive and gracious, and understand the demands of ministry. I am sure she will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose someone, especially a parent. Please know you are all in my prayers along with Marge. I will always remember her hospitality when I would take mom to her house for the club meetings, and her ready smile !

We were blessed to know your parents when they pastored here in Kimball. Ray visited your dad many times when he was housebound and said they did a lot of "talking about" hunting and fishing. I remember your mother as a smart, sweet, and caring woman. Know you will miss her, but the good memories will always remain in your hearts.

Your mom was such a good friend to my mom,Thelma Maresh, in Kimball. They have corresponded for birthdays, Christmas, etc. after your Mom left Kimball. Mom would always tell me when she got a letter from Marge! Mom died Sept. 22 so she and Marge will be reunited again! Many prayers. June Erickson
