Guest Book

Karen, Lori, Jodi & Garrett- "Mike" was a great neighbor and "Mr. Rembold" was an awesome teacher. In shop class, he taught us the value of patience and perseverance. He could make wood working mistakes disappear! Because of him, I have some beautiful pieces of furniture that will someday become heirlooms. Oftentimes, it was difficult to tell when he was serious or joking. Except, when he would start a story with, "And so I said to myself, 'Self...'", and make himself start laughing! Enjoy all the happy memories… -Erin

Mrs Rembold and family, I had the honor of having Mr Rembold as my Drafting teacher. In the time he taught me, he showed me that you can get more done with a kind word than an order. He made a lot of memories for me that will never forget. He called me "Shorty" from time to time, either because I was tall or I always cut an important piece of board for my project, but he was always patient with me.
~ Edward Harty 21851 Elk Vale Rd., Piedmont, SD 57769 (1/29/2006)
Mr. Rembold was a gift to so many kids at Philip High. He encouraged us and laughed with us. I am sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Mr. Rembold will be missed.

Mrs. Rembold and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was never fortunate to have Mr. Rembold as a teacher but I did as a class advisor. I will never forget his smile and his laughter. He always had a quick smile to brighten everyone's day. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this trying time. May God Bless You. Cindy.

Karen, My thoughts and prayers are with you now and will be in the future too. Mike was a good friend and more important, he was a great person. I will miss him very much. As he said to me the last time I was in Philip hunting last fall, " I'll be looking down on you next year." I know he will. Jerry

Mikes family, I worked with Mike for many years and he was truly my friend. Not a week went by that he didn't play a joke on me. We visited before and after school. My boys have beautiful furniture that Mike helped them build. Many students have great memories of this fine man and how he helped them build gun cabinets, dressers and their lives. I treasure the drives to Rapid with him. Time heals the heart.

Dear Rembold Family,
What I remember most about Mr. Rembold is his smile and sense of humor. You were never really sure whether he was serious or joking, and believe me, on a few occasions I made the mistake of wrongly assuming the latter. I always enjoyed the few military stories we could coax out of him. Mr. Rembold was one of the reasons I became an Architect, and now, whenever someone tells me that a project is taking me too long, I think to myself..."That's what Mr. Rembold used to say." I can hear him now saying, "Brad, wrap this up and get back to work!" My prayers are with you.

Dear Karen, Lori, Jodi, and Garrett, Mike was such an awesome guy! Truly a friend you could find enjoying life to it's fullest-- at the ball field, bowling alley, gym.... lot of fun places. He was a great person to know, a super teacher, and always a pleasure to be with. Many of us (young and old) agree we never quite knew many times when Mike was kidding around or was serious- (he could fool me most of the time)... and boy he liked that!! He was such a special fun-loving guy. All of us that knew him have been blessed to have known such a good person. He will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Our love and prayers are with you. Rembold Family-
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this very sad time. I'll never forget the times I had with Mike in school. He was a great teacher, friend, fan, and role model for many young people who had the privilege to be in his class. I'll never forget the monday mornings at school after a football game, I was always waiting for what Mike had to say about the game. He was a very honest man and that is what I will remember most about him. Take care and God bless. Duke Miller

Karen and Family-Please know that Jay, Jeanette and I are keeping you all in our prayers. When I think of Mike, I think of the Teacher's Wish.
One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a better place because I was important in the life of a child.
Mike touched so many lives He will be fondly remembered.

~ Donna Hart Lockhart Garland, Texas (1/29/2006)
There is so little one can say or do at such a sad time to help ease the pain. It is sad to lose those that are dearest to us, but there is comfort in remembering the times they made us laugh and consoled us when we cried. Mike's thoughtfulness, warmth, and unselfishness...all the times he made such a positive difference in many people's lives. These memories will always be with you and they will grow stronger through the years. Our thoughts are of you, Our prayers are for you, and our hearts are with you. Ashley Smith & Brock Heid

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Grant him light, happiness, and peace.
Let him pass in safety through the gates of death,
And live forever with all Your saints in the light
You promised to Abraham and to all his descendants in faith.

Guard him from all harm and on that great day
Of resurrection and reward raise him up with all Your saints.
Pardon his sins and give him eternal life in Your kingdom.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you.

THE BEST
God saw he was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him
and whispered "Come with Me."

With tearful eyes we watched him
suffer and saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
