James "Jim" Kellyof Quinn, South Dakota, died on Thursday, June 8, 2000

James D. Kelly, better known as "Jim" to his family and friends, was born July 7, 1962, at Quinn, South Dakota, the son of Don and Gloria (Pipal) Kelly.
The family made their home in Quinn until Jim was five years old, when they moved into Wall. Jim grew up in Wall and graduated from Wall High School in 1980. He attended Black Hills State College where he received a business degree in 1985. He worked at the First Bankcard Center in Yankton for two years. This is where he met his future wife, Kiya Aisenbrey.
In 1988, they both moved to Tempe, Arizona. He worked for ITT Financial Services until moving back to Quinn on January 1, 1989.
Jim was united in marriage to Kiya Aisenbrey on Feburary 4, 1989, at Rapid City. They made their home on the Kelly Ranch south of Quinn, which they operated all their married life.
Jim was a S.D. State Brand Inspector. He was a member of the Quinn Volunteer Fire Department and the Western South Dakota Buckaroos.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Kiya Kelly of Quinn; a daughter, Jordan Kelly of Quinn; a son, Colton Kelly of Quinn; his parents, Gloria and Don Kelly of Wall; two brothers, Dr. Pat Kelly and his wife, Carla, of Bowman, North Dakota, and Jason Kelly and his wife, Brooke, of Rapid City; his sister, Dawn Richter and her husband, Troy, of Enning, South Dakota; his paternal grandmother, Mildred Kelly, of Rapid City; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Kelly Lambert of Rapid City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by a son, Jori Dean Kelly; a brother, Kim Kelly; a sister, Kristi Kelly; his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Marcella Pipal; and his paternal grandfather, Pat Kelly.
A memorial is established for Jim and Kiya's children.
