Huey F. Huston

of Midland, South Dakota, died on Thursday, October 7, 1993
at the V.A. Medical Center in Ft. Meade at the age of 62

Huey Francis Huston was born June 16, 1931 at Pierre, South Dakota to Jack and Margaret (McCullough) Huston.  He grew up on a farm east of Midland in Jones County, and received his education in rural schools in that community.

As a young man he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War, serving from February 13, 1952 until his discharge on January 23, 1954.

He was united in marriage to Ruby Nesheim on October 28, 1957 at Rapid City, South Dakota.

They made their home on a ranch east of Midland until 1982 when they moved into Midland.  While in Midland, Huey worked with his sons in the Sinclair Station.  Because of health reasons he retired in 1991, but continued to make thier home in Midland.

Huey was a member of the V.F.W. of Pierre.  He was active with teener baseball in the Midland area and was the coach in 1980 and 1981.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Ruby Huston of Midland; two sons, Douglas Huston of Midland, and Arthur Huston of Midland; two daughters, Diana Baeza of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Susan Schofield of Pierre, South Dakota; six grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Huston Jr. of Sturgis, South Dakota, Rex Huston of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and Joe Huston of Grey Bull, Wyoming; four sisters, Mary Jane Dugan of Rapid City, South Dakota, JoAnn Flyth of Moorcroft, Wyoming, Marguerite Dennis of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Sharon Robinson of Fort Bragg, California; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Huston and Micky Huston; his parents, Jack and Margaret Huston; and one brother, Arthur Huston.
