Naomi Hope Frein

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, June 20, 1990
in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina at the age of 36

Naomi Hope Naescher was born December 8, 1953, at Rapid City, South Dakota, to William A. and Alice Faith (Whitcher) Naescher.

She grew up on a farm-ranch northwest of Wall, South Dakota.  She attended Cedar Butte Rural School prior to graduating from Wall High School in 1972.

Naomi was united in marriage to Lloyd J. Frein on December 9, 1972, at Wall, South Dakota.

They ranched north of Philip until 1980 when they purchased a ranch in the Peno Basin area north of Quinn, South Dakota, which they operated until moving onto Lloyd's grandparents' homestead northwest of Philip in 1984.  They continued to own and operate the homestead until the time of her death.

Naomi was a member of the United Church of Philip, the Servants of Jesus Christ the King Prayer Group of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Needles and Pins Club, and was very active with her children in 4-H.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Lloyd Frein of Philip; her daughter, Laura Frein of Philip; her son, Jacob Frein of Philip; her mother, Alice Faith Naescher of Wall; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Naomi Hope Frein was preceded in death by her father, William A. Naescher, on December 25, 1970.
