Gust D. Regas

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Monday, June 20, 1988
at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 97

Gust D. Regas was born October 3, 1890, in Greece to Demitrius and Triandafolas Regas. He grew up and received his education in Greece.

In 1911, at the age of 21, he came to the United States and settled in St. Louis, Missouri, and later on to Montana where he worked for the railroad.  Later he purchased and operated restaurants in Montana and Wyoming.

Gust was united in marriage to Imogene Brose on January 7, 1926, in Sidney, Montana.

They continued to operate restaurants in various places throughout Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, and South Dakota.  In 1983 they moved into the Prairie Village Apartments in Wall, South Dakota, where they have since resided.

Gust was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Imogene Regas of Wall; one son, Donald and his wife, Phyllis of Essex, Montana; two daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Keith) Crew of Interior, South Dakota, and Kathleen (Mrs. Raymond) Goldston of Lakewood, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
