Clarence H. Schofieldof Midland, South Dakota, died on Thursday, January 28, 1988

Clarence H. Schofield was born February 2, 1907, on his parents' homestead, located south of Midland, South Dakota, to Harry C. and Florence (Shaul) Schofield.
He grew up in that area and graduated from Midland High School. He worked for various ranchers in the Midland and Milesville area prior to operating a farm in the Milesville area.
Clarence was united in marriage to Lucille Leach on October 8, 1937, at Pierre, South Dakota.
They continued to farm in the Milesville area until moving to the Hudson Flatt area where they farmed until 1946 when they moved to their present farm-ranch, located northwest of Midland. They operated this until retiring in 1985, but continued to live on the farm-ranch.
Clarence attended the Open Bible Standard Church of Midland.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Lucille Schofield, of Midland; two sons, Dean Schofield of Pierre, South Dakota, and Allen Schofield, of Milbank, South Dakota; two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Linda) Snook of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Mrs. David (Gloria) Hansen of Philip, South Dakota; nine grandchildren; six brothers, Roberts Schofield, A.E. "Bud" Schofield, Edward Schofield, all of Philip, Hank Schofield and Alfred Schofield, both of Midland, and Martin Schofield, of Billings, Montana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Joe, Charlie, Richard, Forrest, Evertt, and Matthew "Mike" Schofield; and two sisters, Florence and Myrtle.
