Emma Kalkbrenner

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Thursday, November 27, 1986
at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 85

Emma Kalkbrenner, daughter fo Adolph and Emilie (Haaga) Kalkbrenner, was born April 25, 1901, in Rapid City, South Dakota.

She grew up and received her education north of Wall, South Dakota.  As a young girl, she moved to Rapid City where she worked at the Alex Johnson Hotel for several years.  She moved to Fargo, North Dakota, where she was employed as a waitress for several years before moving to Bemidji, Minnesota, where she made her home with her sister, Bertha M. Kalkbrenner.

Emma was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Wall.

Grateful for having share her life are her brother, James Kalkbrenner, and his wife, Helene, of Wasta, South Dakota; her sister, Mrs. Carter (Marguerite) Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Paul Lawrence, Albert George, and Louis Kalkbrenner, and one sister, Bertha M. Kalkbrenner.
