Warren Joyce was born March 25, 1909, at Orchard, Nebraska, the son of Archie and Clara Jessie Joyce.
Warren was united in marriage to Bernice Nelson at Philip, South Dakota. They lived in New Underwood, where he worked in the bank. In 1941 the couple moved to Wall where he began working for First Western Bank as a cashier.
He served as president of the bank for many years and was on its board of directors at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Naja Temple in Deadwood, and the United Methodist Church in Wall.
Survivors include a son, Jim of Woodbury, Minnesota; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Barbara) Geise of Willmar, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Dean of Wall, and Elston of Bright, Wyoming; two sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Chicago, Illinois, and Mary Dwyer of Rapid City, South Dakota; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1972.
