Albert Amiotte

of Interior, South Dakota, died on Saturday, August 4, 1984
at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City at the age of 66

Albert Amiotte was born January 2, 1918, at Veta, South Dakota, in Bennett copunty, to Edward and Delia Amiotte.  He grew up in Bennett and Washabaugh counties and attended schools in Pine Ridge and Flandreau.

Albert was united in marriage to Vera Weaver on December 27, 1939, at Rushville, Nebraska.  Following their marriage, the couple moved to the ranch south of Interior where he ranched until the time of his death.

Albert served on the Farmer's Home Administration advisory board and on the Soil Conservation Committee.

Survivors include two sons, Norman and Alan Amiotte, both of Interior; one daughter, Bonnie Renner, of Spearfish; ten grandchildren; one sister, Babe Wieser, of Rapid City; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera, in 1976, two sisters, and one brother.

A memorial has been established.
